Nutrition supports are supports which can help you get nutrition if your disability affects the type of nutrition you need and how you eat.
Disability-related nutrition supports may involve assistance with managing your Home Enteral Nutrition (HEN) or Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastronomy (PEG) needs.
PEG Support Plans
A PEG Support Plan is developed to assist disability support workers and family manage a PEG tube. It includes detailed instructions for care, such as routine maintenance, cleaning, troubleshooting, and addressing any potential complications. The plan is individualised to the participant’s needs.
Training
We provide training on PEG care and management, including the implementation of a individualised PEG Support Plan. This training equips disability support workers and family with the skills to handle PEG care confidently and safely, covering routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
