

Respiratory Supports
Respiratory supports are considered "disability-related health supports" under the NDIS. These supports can only be funded if they are directly related to your disability and assist you in carrying out everyday activities.

Respiratory Management Plans
A Respiratory Management Plan is developed to assist disability support workers and family to maintain a participants respiratory health. This could include non-invasive ventilator devices such as Constant Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP), suctioning and nebulisers. The plan is individualised to the participants needs, ensuring safe and effective management of respiratory health.

Training
We offer contextualised training for disability support workers and family to help them understand and effectively manage your respiratory support needs. This training ensures they are equipped with the knowledge and skills to assist with daily respiratory care, including:

Monitoring respiratory status and recognising early signs of distress.

Administering nebulisers or other prescribed respiratory treatments.

Using non-invasive ventilator devices such as CPAP, APAP, BIPAP.

Clearing airways through suctioning techniques.

Following your individualised Respiratory Management Plan.
